Abra Ganz’s research focus at the DEC centers on AI governance and digital sovereignty. Abra holds an undergraduate degree in Classics from Oxford University, she then pursued a Master’s in Logic at the Institute of Logic, Language, and Computation at the University of Amsterdam, with a specialization in theoretical computer science and AI.
During her Master’s program, Abra dedicated a year to technical AI safety, engaging in research related to adversarial robustness at ETH Zürich and inverse reinforcement learning at MIT. At the same time, Abra co-authored a chapter on Single-Agent Safety in the Center for AI Safety’s textbook on AI Safety, Ethics, and Society.
