Joel is a new Postgraduate Associate at the Digital Ethics Center at Yale. His research centers on addressing societal challenges with a significant digital dimension. This encompasses applications of network theory, algorithmic game theory, and a broad range of topics at the intersection of machine learning and society.
Originally coming from Northern Finland, he completed his Bachelor’s degree at Aalto University in Helsinki, where he studied Economics and Computer Science. Additionally, he furthered his studies with a Master’s degree in Technology Policy at the University of Cambridge in the UK.
