Carlotta Buttaboni is a fifth-year law student at the University of Bologna, Alma Mater Studiorum. She is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Bologna Law Review, a student-run, open-access, and double-blind peer-reviewed law journal published by the University of Bologna, Department of Legal Studies and collaborating with the University of Bologna’s Centre for Digital Ethics (CEDE), based in the Department of Legal Studies.
Carlotta is actively engaged in her thesis project, which focuses on the ethical and legal implications of credit scoring algorithms in the insurance and banking sectors in a comparative analysis of the international legal framework. Her research primarily delves into the legal dynamics associated with the use of black-box algorithms.
