Claudio Novelli is a postdoctoral researcher at the Yale Digital Ethics Center. He earned his PhD in Law, Science, and Technology from the University of Bologna, in cotutelle with the University of Luxembourg.
His research interests encompass legal philosophy, political philosophy, the philosophy of technology, and cognitive sciences. Claudio has teaching experience in logic and legal argumentation, as well as in courses for PhD students on legal methodology.
He is the author of The Concept of Legal Personhood – What the Mind Reveals about Law (Hart Publishing, Bloomsbury, 2025), which explores the intersection of law and cognitive studies.
At the Digital Ethics Center, Claudio explores the legal and philosophical implications of digital technologies, with a particular focus on their potential to foster social innovation, including enhancing political participation and decision-making.
