Grant Shanklin

Grant is a senior at Yale studying computer science and philosophy. His interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and the philosophy of science. At the center, his research focuses on how we can formalize and design systems that interact responsibly in the social world. Previously, he’s worked on the open-source community’s response to the development of generative AI. Outside of research, he is an avid reader and enjoys debating with the Yale Political Union.
