Ethan Chiu

Ethan Chiu is a rising junior at Yale University studying Global Affairs and History. At the DEC, he investigates how AI will impact pharmaceutical drug prices and subsequent impacts on social welfare and national security. He has previously worked at the Department of Defense, American Enterprise Institute, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, focusing on Taiwan, semiconductors, humanitarian AI, and affordable drug repurposing research. On campus, Ethan founded and led the Yale Foreign Policy Initiative, hosts campus events with the Alexander Hamilton Society, and researches biotechnology with the Geopolitics of Technology Initiative.
