Joanna Carmona is the Program Manager at Yale Digital Ethics Center (DEC). She has successfully navigated a professional career across many organizational functions including administration, program management, marketing, and communications. Prior to joining DEC, she contributed as a human resources coordinator at Yale School of Medicine and a Senior Administrative Assistant at Yale Library, where she supported a wide array of departments. Joanna’s global perspective is enriched by her international experience in a prestigious law firm in Dubai and government service in the Philippines.
Joanna is actively involved in affinity groups and currently leads the Asian Network at Yale. She also serves as a mentor at the University of New Haven, where she guides undergraduate students in their academic and professional journeys.
Joanna holds a degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of New Haven. Beyond her professional endeavors, Joanna is deeply passionate about amplifying the mission and values of the organizations she collaborates with. Her advocacy extends to critical issues such as mental health, diversity, and inclusion, reflecting a commitment to making a positive impact both within and beyond the workplace.
