Joanna is the Program Manager at the Yale Digital Ethics Center (DEC), where she leads strategic program development, operations, and funding initiatives. With a career spanning diverse organizational functions, Joanna brings expertise in administration, program management, and communications to her role. With prior roles at Yale School of Medicine and Yale Library, she demonstrated strong operational leadership and departmental coordination skills.
Her international experience spans work at a prestigious law firm in Dubai and government service in the Philippines, giving her a nuanced understanding of cross-cultural and institutional dynamics.
Joanna is deeply engaged in Yale’s affinity leadership and served as Co-Chair of the Asian Network at Yale (ANY) through 2025, where she advanced high-impact programming, strengthened cross-campus collaboration, and elevated the network’s visibility and influence within the broader university community. She is currently co-chairing the Working Women’s Network’s Recognition Awards sub-committee, leading a university-wide initiative that honors distinguished women across Yale, stewarding a rigorous selection process in partnership with HR and senior leaders, and shaping a signature institutional event that reinforces Yale’s commitment to excellence, leadership, and community impact.
Joanna holds a degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of New Haven.
