Thalsa is a Senior at Yale University majoring in Political Science while pursuing certificates in Spanish and Human Rights. Originally from Algeria and France, she is passionate about the intersection between climate action, human rights and democratic theory. She has experience in environmental peace-building (EcoPeace Middle East in Jordan), biodiversity protection (Global Diversity Foundation in Morocco), international law (Center for International Sustainable Development Law) and the humanitarian sector (World Food Programme and International Organization for Migration). At Yale, she is involved with the Peace and Dialogue Leadership Initiative and enjoys going to the Yale Farm every Friday. At the Digital Ethics Center, she is interested in the relationship between deliberative democracy and artificial intelligence and more specifically, how citizens can participate in shaping ethical artificial intelligence.
